Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to digital accessibility and inclusion for all users
Our Commitment to Accessibility
AstraVA is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards, which define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. These guidelines not only make our content more accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities but also often improve usability for all users.
Our Accessibility Principles
- Perceivable
Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.
- Operable
User interface components and navigation must be operable by all users.
- Understandable
Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable.
- Robust
Content must be robust enough to be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.
Accessibility Features
AstraVA's website includes the following accessibility features:
Keyboard Navigation
All functionality is operable through a keyboard interface without requiring specific timings for individual keystrokes.
Screen Reader Compatibility
Our content is compatible with screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
Text Alternatives
We provide text alternatives for non-text content, including descriptive alt text for images.
Clear Language
We use clear, simple language and avoid complex terminology where possible.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
AstraVA's website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
